The heart on our label represents the stony soils from our small vineyard. Through these soils, our vines struggle to grow and mature. That struggle produces grapes with unique flavors of spice and brambleberries, especially in our Zinfandels. Our warmer days combine with cool evening breezes from San Francisco Bay, creating a perfect grape growing climate. We hand-tend all of our vines, carefully managing the size of our crop, leaf canopy, irrigation and pest control. Harvest is also done by hand, assuring the finest fruit is available for winemaking. The fruit for our wines is all estate grown, and we live right here on our property. Our winery is an old horse barn that we’ve converted into a place where Tom now makes our wines.
Winemaking is a family tradition that we’ve traced back to the early 1700s. Making excellent wine was so important to us that Tom went to UC Davis to study winemaking.
We only produce fine, hand-crafted red wines, because that’s what we enjoy drinking. We’ve created a style that has robust, mouth-filling flavors, yet the tannins are soft. We only produce 500 cases of wine each year. Some years we are so impressed with the quality of fruit we only make one barrel of a particular wine. It’s fun and rewarding to make wines so literally “from the ground up.”
We’re open by appointment, so please call us to arrange your visit. We’re only 20 minutes east of Napa, and one hour from San Francisco. We’re just four miles north of the Cordelia junction of I-80 and I-680. Our goal is to provide a relaxed time at our winery. Come experience the charm that we’ve come to love.

Enjoy the beautiful view of our 30 acre vineyard and the famous Twin Sisters Hills while you taste from our Tasting Room or outdoor picnic tables.
The Wines: In our 30-acre vineyard we grow 6 distinct varietals. We produce these single varietals in house and enjoy crafting new style blends that incorporate either estate varietals or high quality fruit from around the region. We are also home to the rare Dolcetto grape.
Tasting & Services: Whether you are looking for a quiet picnic near the vineyard, or a memorable wine tasting with a priceless view, you’ve come to the right place. Treat your palate to 6 unique wines accompanied by our wine educator. In addition, our Tasting Menu changes weekly so that each week will be a new experience. Reservations are required for parties with 6 or more guests.

Winemaking Philosophy: For better quality control, we use the traditional method of hand picking our estate grapes. Sure it takes more time, but the end result is worth it.
GALVAN FAMILY CELLARS
We were started by Salvador Galvan in 2003, a passion project yielding a few hundred cases a year. As the founder of Solano Wine Collective, a wine consulting company with a focus on high end private label wines, Salvador understands that great wine comes from well-tended vines. In 2007 Salvador and Claudia fell in love with Solano County’s Green Valley AVA and have expanded Galvan Family Cellars to 3,500 case production, working closely with vineyards in Green Valley, Suisun Valley, Napa and beyond. Production happens in their “urban winery in the country” located just a few minutes off of Highway 80 in Fairfield.
We believe in an intimate and minimalist approach in our wine making, practicing native yeast fermentation and minimal use of fining, filtering and minimal sulfite addition, allowing our wines to best express their vineyards’ terroir. We produce several wines, including a barrel aged Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, old vine Zinfandel, and beautiful, complex red blends. Our packaging is eco-conscious: lightweight locally produced bottle, paperless labels, natural cork and no pesky foil.
We are conveniently located near the 680, the 80, and the 12, and parking is easy. Our large custom-crafted bar, crafted from local barns and scratching posts for Green valley’s cows, is a special place to elbow up and taste our current selections.
